Selma and not, say, Dr. King.
DuVernay's film, which opens in limited release Christmas Day, doesn't attempt to be a biopic about the towering historical figure at its center, the Rev. Martin Luther King, who's played with quiet authority by the magnificent British actor David Oyelowo.

 AMY HANAIALI'I

My Father's Granddaughter came at a turning point in my life. During the process of recording this album my father passed into his next journey.
Lloyd Gilliom, my father, grew up on the road with my Tutu Jennie. She would instill in him three of life's most important qualities that he later would pass on to me: Humility, Kindness and Love. As I tour the world sharing Hawaiian music, I am thankful that my daughter Madeline was able to spend time with my parents who became instrumental in helping me raise her in today's world. I would often witness my father teaching Madeline the same life lessons he taught me. Never a dull moment in the Gilliom `Ohana. Beautiful how the circle of life works. READ MORE

Street Corner Renaissance
Street Corner Renaissance has been invited to perform in Dubai, the richest city in the world. This promises to be a 30 day adventurous engagement and life changing experience. And guess what. We're going. YAY!

In addition to the stated business at hand we'll be pursuing every opportunity available to us to advance the cause of Street Corner Style a'cappella singing along with our particular spin and performance style. This trip will kick off what we anticipate as being an awesome year of continued growth and accomplishments. (Details to come as they develop)

Thanks to everyone who has supported our journey thus far. We appreciate all of your prayers and well wishes. But hold on ... It Ain't Over Yet! So don't stop now.

Those of you who know our story; know that ours has been an "Improbable Dream Come True for a bunch of old cats who took a giant leap of faith to architect and grab a second chance to pursue our first love, to share our God given gifts with the world. And now; a world away from where it all began; the journey continues.

Stay tuned...
