Come boss us around! We want to hear your opinions about your library. Give us ideas for events, new books, and new movies--all while eating pizza and earning volunteer hours!  Please sign up in advance for this.

Anime and Manga Club
Tues., May 24th, 3:00-5:00pm
Love manga and anime?  Join our club!  We meet monthly to watch new and classic anime episodes, do crafts, and try out tasty Japanese snacks!   We will be making bento boxes, the traditional Japanese lunch!  This will be our last meeting until September.
 
Tie Dyeing 
Thur., May 26th,  3:00-5:00pm  
Get colorful at the library!  We'll be tie dyeing t-shirts in the back parking lot. Feel free to bring anything else you'd like to tie dye - socks, headbands, bags, etc.! In case of bad weather, we have a rain date scheduled for May 31st.  Please sign up for this program in advance.

Special Guests 
The Children's Library had special guests on Saturday, April 16 for 
RI LIBRARY DAY. A Pet Therapy program was presented by Pet Partners Rob Sylvia, Tiverton resident, and his Saint Bernard pet partner 'Moose.' Senator Walter Felag, Representative Dennis Canario and Representative John Edwards were welcomed by Children's Librarian Janet Linhares along with pet therapy dog 'Moose.'

COMPUTER CLASSES FOR MAY

Installing and Using Skype, Friday, May 13th, 2:00pm 
This class will cover the downloading and installation of Skype on your personal computer.  We will guide you through the use of Skype and things to be aware of while using Skype.  This is great if you have never used, or need help with Skype.  Bring your laptop for this class!  Limited to 5 patrons. 
 
Computer Tips & Tricks,Friday, May 20th, 2:00pm 
Do you know how to take screenshots and email them?  Have you ever heard of a ZIP file?  Maybe you would like to know password tips or how to back up your files.  These are some of the topics that will be covered in this class.  Bring your laptop for this class!  Limited to 5 patrons.

Friends of Tiverton Libraries
 
 
The Friends of Tiverton Libraries was awarded a William Reeves Award for Community Service at the April 19th Coalition of Library Advocates (COLA) annual meeting at the RI State House. The Friends donated board books to the children's room at Tiverton Public Library, and also provided books to a children's early reading program, among other efforts. Friends' Board Members Peter Sullivan & Deb Darkow accepted the award at the State House.

The Friends of Tiverton Libraries provides approximately 85% of the funding for children's, teen and adult programming at Tiverton Public Library. Haven't joined the Friends yet?  Click here for more information. 
 
Use your library card to borrow Museum and Activity Passes from the library.  Enjoy FREE outings to the Audubon Society's Environmental Education Center, the Norman Bird Sanctuary in Middletown, Buttonwood Park Zoo in New Bedford, Newport Art, RISD Art Museums, or our newest addition Coggeshall Farm in Bristol. Try our HALF PRICE admission to the Providence Children's Museum, Greater Fall River Children's Museum, or the New Bedford Whaling Museum.  Please click here  to reserve a pass, and for specific pass details or restrictions.  Library patrons are encouraged to check individual venues for hours and regular admission prices. Passes are not valid for special events. 
Great News!  Tiverton Public Library is being honored with an
