Tiverton Library News and Events
January 2016
EXCITING NEWS!
Preparations for the second annual Tiverton Library Gala are underway. Save the date - April 30, 2016.  Last year's Downton Abbey theme was a dramatic success with great food, music and fun.  It was the social event of the year!  Guests overwhelmingly embraced the theme and came costumed in the spirit of the era.
This year's theme is sure to get everyone's creative juices flowing. To ensure that this year will be a success we need your help where and whenever you can give a little time.  Please contact Ann at 401-625-6796 ext. 6.  Keep checking the library website www.tivertonlibrary.org for updates on this exciting event!

Have you heard of the '1000 Books Before Kindergarten' program?  The goal is to read 1,000 books to your child before he or she starts kindergarten.  If your child took part in all of our fall storytimes, Ms. Janet read at least 40 books to each storytime group.  This helps your child be on the way to 1,000 books before kindergarten.  After our winter/spring session, almost 100 books will have been read to each of our storytime groups via programming at your library.  Read to your child from the time they're born and you'll gift them with skills they need to succeed.  You'll also promote a lifetime love of books and reading.
Visit 1000booksbeforekindergarten.org for more information.
