What does a year of Tiverton Library Services look like?

  •  13 public computers received 6,917 uses
  •  3,218 children, teens and adults attended 203programs
  • 71,837 items were borrowed. 
  • There were 44,867 library visits to a building with a capacity of 30 people, including staff, at a time

NOTICE

 

The Essex Library will be closed from

 April 27th to May18th for preparation and move over 

to the new library. 

The Union Library will be open ALL the regular Essex hours 

for pick up and drop off of library materials. 

 

 Monday through Thursday 10AM to 8PM, 

Friday 10AM -5PM and Saturday 10AM -4PM. 



Thanks to Tiverton High School students who will be in 
period costume to assist with serving! 
A professional with years of experience on Broadway, and newly a resident of Tiverton, is designing and creating the costuming.
 Thanks also to the Culinary Arts students at the High School, who will be providing desserts of the 1920's!
Thanks to raffle sponsors for donations including a stay at a Bed and Breakfast in Jamestown, original art and jewelry donated by the artists, concert tickets, Red Sox memento, lobsters fresh from the boat, wine baskets, a professional photography session for your family, 
restaurant gift cards, Trinity Rep ticket packages.

Come to celebrate! Come for the jazz! Come for the dancing! Come to be among the first to see the library the community has been working toward for over 30 years, 
to provide 
state of the art library services to Tiverton, in a new building 
designed to be warm and inviting, 
as well as energy efficient 
and a model for future municipal buildings.

 2015  FRIENDS ANNUAL 
BOOK SALE + is moving!

It's spring! You're probably wondering about donating your used books. 
 With the GALA on May 2nd,
and the NEW LIBRARY DEDICATION on June 13th, the
FRIENDS ANNUAL BOOK SALE IS MOVING 
TO SEPTEMBER 26TH. 

 The Union Public Library Association book sale will continue to be held in August. 
 Details to come.
