 Volunteer with Read To Succeed!
Work with a child once or twice weekly and be an ally for a better future.
Read To Succeed is a nonprofit literacy organization bringing phonics training to children who struggle to read. We need reading coaches and buddies for children in kindergarten or first grade. Our volunteers coach for 45 minutes, 1-2 days a week during school hours in the schools. They work from lesson plans they have prepared and submit monthly progress reports.
Let us know your interest, and we'll contact you with a complete description of our two programs. Top quality curriculum and coaching materials are essential for tutoring success, and we have created our own training program that develops the skills needed to coach young students. Register now for the Q&A session on
Saturday, August 13
9:30 a.m.-noon,
where you will learn more about our programs and meet our trainer. It will be held at the Asheville Housing Authority on
165 S. French Broad St. Call 828-747-2277 to register.
