Shuttle Information
If you want to avoid the hassle of circling or waiting for a parking space when you come to the Retuer Center, why not park your car at 118 W. T. Weaver Blvd. (the former MAHEC building), right across from campus, and take a UNC Asheville shuttle to the Reuter Center?
The university operates a red and a blue shuttle line (click here to view the Red and Blue shuttle routes); each shuttle takes about 12 minutes to make its entire circuit. You may park at the W. T. Weaver lot, board the shuttle, let the driver know you want to go to the Reuter Center, and enjoy the ride.
When you are finished with your classes, stop in the OLLI office and ask a staff member to contact the UNC Asheville police. They will route a shuttle to take you back to your car.

Meet College for Seniors program manager
Herb Gunn:
Someone who wants to 'get into the clay' at OLLI!
By Carol Gillen
When I first sat down to talk with Herb Gunn, OLLI at UNC Asheville's new College for Seniors (CFS) Program Manager, I asked him what he wanted everyone at OLLI to know about him. He replied, "I first became enthralled with creating pottery at the age of ten when I observed my mother making clay objects, such as bowls and trays, in a hand-building pottery class during a summer at Montreat College. I seriously got into 'wheel throwing' during my graduate school days in the early '80s in Japan." I thought this was an interesting way to start our discussion!
Herb became a lay professional in the Episcopal Church in the early 1990s and worked for twenty years in the Diocese of Michigan in Detroit. He worked as a journalist and, along with writing stories, also created their website. In his articles for the diocesan newspaper, he always gravitated toward personal profiles of the people there to highlight the talents and energy that made that community so exciting.
