 | The Meditation Special Interest Group is scheduled to meet onMonday, June 8, 4:15 pm  Reuter Center, Room 102B

This special interest group is now on our summer schedule, meeting once monthly on the second Monday of the month at 4:15 pm. We will follow this schedule through August.

Our guest this meeting is Deb Criss.  Deb has lived in the area for many years and is involved in many spiritual endeavors locally. In addition she is owner of the Heart Springs Sanctuary in Alexander. She will be speaking about Open Heart Meditation which is a calming, relaxing technique of opening our spiritual heart.  This meditation will bring us to a heart dominated realm, rather than the brain dominated realm.  This is a new meditation practice that we have not seen before in our Special Interest Group.

Look forward to seeing you all on Monday.  New members are welcome.  For our meditations you can sit in a chair or lie on the floor. Please bring what ever you need for personal comfort.

Dear OLLI Members,
I apologize for being a little late today.  We have just wrapped up the 24th session of the Creative Retirement Exploration Weekend.  106 people from 26 states have come to Asheville to learn about the issues of relocation in retirement and about 80 of them stayed for a session today to learn about the unique pleasure of relocating to Asheville.  If you know someone who is struggling with this issue, please have them contact Laurel Jernigan to learn more about how to register for our next session.  Please take some time to read the LONG list of people who help to make this stimulating workshop possible.
Also, take some time to check out the list of open courses for our summer term. Remember that an open course may only have one seat available, so call Jessika Bond at 828-251-6140 to find out more.
Watch for an announcement in the next couple of days about a new College for Seniors program manager!

We appreciate the passion each of you brings to your creative retirement,  Catherine Frank Executive Director |
