Bruce Jones - From Software Developer  to Master of Games
By Deborah HartBruce Jones' sociable demeanor and love of games have made his backgammon and Texas Hold'em poker classes a favorite around OLLI at UNC Asheville. As a master of games, the structured thinking and strategic skills honed in his software career serve him well.

Bruce started his career as an electrical engineer in the Bell System in New Jersey.  Although he spent much of his working life in California, he has traveled to many places with his work such as Chicago, IL; Jackson, MS; Hope, AK; Wilmington, NC and Fargo, ND. About 20 years ago, Bruce launched his own software development company, where he really enjoyed the corporate training he did for small to medium enterprises (SMEs) in database applications such as inventories, billings, failure rates, and website development.
