 Wireless Access at OLLI
We are happy to announce that significant improvements have been made to our campus'wireless environment. The former "guest" network is in a new form with easier, more manageable connections. You will find a more consistent user experience across all major computing platforms (laptops, tablets, and phones) and a one-time setup that is valid for one year.
To connect, you will need to pick up a voucher code and instructions from the OLLI office for each device you wish to connect to the wireless. You'll need to do the initial connect on campus - this cannot be done from home. Here's a link to the set up instructions.Help getting connected!
OLLI member volunteers have been trained in the wireless connectivity and are scheduled following New Member Welcome (Sept 12) and between classes each day the first week of class at the lower lobby computer desk to assist. They will have voucher codes, sign on instructions and be on hand to help you get connected. In addition, you may visit the ITS Service Desk (located in the Ramsey Library behind the reference desk) for assistance (you will need to pick up a voucher code from the OLLI office first)

How Do They Keep The Music Playing? Daniel Meyer and The Asheville Symphony
By David Langdon
The Asheville Symphony Orchestra (ASO) at 53 years old is the largest professional performing arts organization in Western North Carolina, with a reputation for smart musical innovations, creativity and a great deal of style. Asheville's musical treasure has been able to keep the music playing by successful fund raising, growing ticket sales, and presenting fresh and exciting musical programs created and conducted by the talented and passionate Maestro Daniel Meyer.
Meyer admits he had not intended to make music his career, but he grew up in a very musical family in Cleveland. He says, "My mother was a talented organist and pianist, so I learned to love the piano in diapers and added the violin in the third grade." His passion for 'the fun of music' has been the undercurrent of his education through Denison University, where he started in pre-law and migrated to music composition and conducting.

These are disciplines not usually used to manage personal investment accounts and offer a more penetrating view of individual securities and markets relative to the larger universe of choices.
