Dear OLLI members,    

 

We want to thank everyone who worked for a smooth registration this past Tuesday. Thanks to our efficient volunteers, we processed over 460 registrations in an hour and 10 minutes.  We currently have over 530 people who have submitted applications for the Winter 2013 term.

 

Ann Cadle assembles and trains a team of volunteers who are generous with their time and talent.  Many thanks for the help of Sandra Brown, Lynn Bumgarner, Marilynn Bynum, Marge Campbell, Judy Creed, Linda Fox, Bee Frame, Vera Geier, Stan Glickman, Nancy Gordan, Bruce Jones, Maryann Jones, Nancy Kinder, Betty Mack, Charlotte Moore, Jacque Morgan, Sheila Murphy, Cal Oppenheim, Patti Oppenheim, Brenda Painter, Martha Parry, Barbara Plimptom, Kim Rodine, Donna Schramek, Anita Shields, Gail Sobel, Kathy Tempelaar-Lietz, Rosemary Walton, Bud Wiley, and Judith Young. We also want to thank Center Steering Council members Cindy Berryman-Fink, Jim Lenburg, and Ken McFarlane for being part of the event.

 

We will mail schedules on Friday, December 7, and the add/drop period will begin on Monday, December 10.  Thanks so much to all of you for your interest in our programs.

12/7 Art Opening  "Mapping the Flesh," encaustic mixed media art by Jennifer  Hobbs. New exhibit featuring the work of the senior with opening reception; from 6 - 8 pmat UNC Asheville's Owen Hall, second floor gallery.  On view weekdays between 9 am and 6 pm through December 18.

f/32 Photography Group
f/32 Photography is a diverse group that shares an appreciation and love of photography. Members range from the amateur to the advanced, from those who like to just take pictures to professional photographers. At monthly meetings, they share their work, learn new methods, and keep abreast of the latest industry news and equipment. OLLI members are offered free membership in f/32.
