Alumna of the Month
Each month, The Skipper Report will feature one of our Mercy sisters as Alumna of the Month. We look to recognize alumnae who are doing exciting things, or who have made exceptional contributions to their chosen field or profession. We welcome your nominations for future Alumnae of the Month. This month, we are pleased to showcase Kayla Benton, class of 2008.
Kayla Benton, Class of 2008
Congratulations go out Kayla Benton, our alumna of the month. This past December, Kayla graduated cum laude from Prairie View A&M University's College of Nursing. Kayla is the daughter of alumna, Dr. Kimberly Lucas Benton, class of 1980, and current member of Mercy's Board of Directors. If graduating with honors was not enough to make her family proud, Kayla also became an officer in the United States Army as she was commissioned as a 2nd Lieutenant, having been a participant in Prairie View A&M's ROTC program. We are so proud of Kayla's accomplishments. She is another wonderful example of a Mercy woman making a difference in the world!

Alumnae Annual Giving
Thank you to all our of alumnae donors for your generous 2012 contributions!
In 2012, as we commemorated our 60th anniversary, we celebrated our tradition of providing affordable, academic excellence to a diverse community of young women. In 2013, and in the years to come, Mercy looks forward to continuing this tradition but we need the support of our alumnae community.
We challenge every alumna to give at least $1.00 (or more) for every year we have been open. All proceeds go to support tuition assistance. Come on Mercy girls, we can do this!
The following list recognizes the top 12 classes in terms of overall donations received by members of each class in 2012. (Note: Classes are listed chronologically.)
