The Tioga Baptist Association celebrated the mission of the church during its recent spring gathering. Volunteers who had traveled to the Dominican Republic and Honduras were featured, sharing their stories of work and witness. Mark Mahserjian-Smith (ABCOPAD Interim Regional Executive Pastor)

Please be in prayer for the people of Baltimore.  It has been heartbreaking to witness on the news so much violence and the destruction of a community.  It was encouraging to see clergy and disciples of Jesus stand up as peacemakers in the midst of the rioting.  I hope you can join me in praying for healing and restoration, asking our Heavenly Father to bring something good out of so much ugliness and, now, sorrow.
Please also pray for the people of Nepal as they work through sadness and loss following the earthquake.  I am thankful we have the One Great Hour of Sharing fund available to bring immediate help and assistance to those in need following a tragedy of this magnitude. Thank you for your faithful gifts to this disaster relief fund, as it is often one of the first sources of aide available to those in need.
Again, thank you for your prayers in both of these challenging situations.

Remembering our ABCUSA Missionaries...

One of the goals of American Baptist International Ministries is to help people to pursue peace, justice and reconciliation through ministries of conflict transformation and education, as well as by standing with and serving the victims of conflict. This goal is led by Dan Buttry, who serves as an International Ministries global consultant for peace and justice. Dan works with International Ministries missionaries and national church partners around the world to deal constructively with conflict situations.
