 ABCOPAD Prayer Update
April 24, 2015
|
Today, the region's fourth co::lab for the third straight year began with a dozen churches from across the region and leadership from the ABMen. They are being hosted at the Franklin Park Baptist Church in Sewickley, where Rev Carol Ross-Irwin is pastor and whose church was in the first co::lab back in 2013. They will meet for five onsite, day-long sessions over the next six months to discern and discover each church's and organization's unique vision and then to do it. Jeff Johnson, our ABCOPAD Regional Pastor with Congregations, also a certified navigator, facilitates the experience with Bryan Rose, chief navigator and exec from the Auxano organization. Keep this experience in prayer.

A couple of messages to share:
Laurie Cressman wanted to share that her mom made it through surgery and is doing fine. Please pray that the surgery was successful and that healing will continue.
Nicole Flick is asking for prayers for her son, Nick. Nick will have an EKG tomorrow because he is having premature ventricular contractions. Please pray that the results will be good from this test and there is no serious problem.
Father God, We come to You in praise tonight that Elaine's surgery was successful and we pray Father this will be an answer to her pain. Be with her as she recovers. We lift up Nick to Youtonight. We pray You will begin to work in His life, healing whatever is causing these problems with heart. Be with Him during testing tomorrow, and may the results be good. In Jesus' Name, AMEN. |
Remembering our ABCUSA Missionaries...
Lauran Bethel is a global consultant on human trafficking. Her main goal is to initiate and encourage new grass- roots projects addressing the exploitation and abuse of women and children, many of whom are victims of trafficking. While based in The Netherlands, she travels extensively throughout Europe, Asia and the Americas, teaching, training and consulting.
In 2005, Lauran was honored with the Human Rights Award of the Baptist World Alliance, and she was awarded a Doctorate of Humane Letters from Palmer Seminary in 2009 for her "longstanding and focused ministry of justice and compassion."
