ABCOPAD Prayer Update
April 15, 2015
|
Mark writes: After lunch today the men did a Vacation Bible School with the kids while the ladies did a clinic with the Moms. The men had the kids singing, hearing a Bible story, coloring, playing games and more. The big hit was Eddy doing balloon animals. The ladies did a medical clinic discussing feminine issues that are very difficult in rural communities. So much was accomplished today. A construction project, filters installed, a VBS and a medical clinic sessions. Thank you all for your continued prayers.

Our friend Bud Russell will be taking over the prayer messages tomorrow.
Pastor Bud and Carol have just returned from a vacation.
And he saith unto them, Whose is this image and superscription? They say unto him, Caesar's. Then saith he unto them, Render therefore unto Caesar the things which are Caesar's; and unto God the things that are God's. When they had heard these words, they marveled, and left him, and went their way.
Matthew 22:20-22
(King James Version)
Kevin writes: I've just completed our taxes and sent them in digitally tonight. (Praise the Lord) I always think of this Scripture on April 15th. It is always a reminder to me about what is the purview of the government, and what is of the Kingdom of God. A good yearly reminder that we are citizens of God's Kingdom and as such we should always strive to be faithful followers of Jesus Christ. Always ready to give a witness for the wonderful and powerful things we daily see the Lord do in our lives. May He receive the glory and honor!

From your ABCOPAD Staff:
It is hard to imagine that our fearless leader Frank is half way through his second month of sabbatical! We would like to ask that you lift he and Carolyn up daily in your prayers. A part of the sabbatical will be spent in far northern Ireland - actually so north that they will overlook the ocean and on a clear day see Scotland.
Frank is focusing on ways the Lord is moving in Ireland to grow His church. There are exciting new developments. It's amazing to realize that Ireland was represented in the 3rd century council of churches in Jerusalem - way before Patrick was called to serve there. And God is still doing a new thing today. I know if you are like us, you can't wait to see the pictures and hear the stories of God's handiwork. Heavenly Father, we lift up our dear Frank and Carolyn on sabbatical. Lord go before their every step. Give them eyes to see and ears to hear what you Spirit is saying to Your church today. Give them not only a wonderful time of learning, but also refreshment and an overwhelming joy. Protect them from all harm and attacks from the evil one. In all their travels, provide them wisdom and safety. We ask in Jesus' name, amen.

Pastor Paul Fields, Interim Pastor at United Baptist in Taylor (Abington Association)
Dear brothers and sisters in Christ,
Just a note to let you know that Pastor Jack Race fell and has a broken shoulder. This is especially sad because Jack and Katherine were to be honored at Clifford Baptist on Sunday for their long time connection of love with that congregation.
Heavenly Father, we lift up our brother Jack during this time of healing. Be with his body, mind and spirit. Encourage him and strengthen him as he heals. Be with Katherine and bless her with wisdom and patience as she ministers alongside our dear brother. We ask in Jesus' name, amen.

ABCOPAD Nicaragua Mission Team
The team is in an area with very poor technology. While this was expected, we still need to keep them surrounded in prayer daily.
Heavenly Father, we lift up our friends from ABCOPAD and ABC New York as they serve in Nicaragua. Open doors and allow them to be encouraged as they serve as Your hands and feet. We pray your surround them with protection from all harm, physically, mentally and spiritually. Bless them as they strive to be a blessing. We ask in Jesus' name, amen.
