Everyone has sinned and fallen short of God's glorious standard,

and all need to be made right with God by his grace, which is a free gift.

They need to be made free from sin through Jesus Christ.

Romans 3:23-24

Prayer Request for our Retired Pastors and Spouses

For so many who serve the Lord, retirement can be challenging. They feel like people see them as no longer useful. They put aside the vast majority of their friendships that we established in ministry to give the new pastoral leader some appropriate space. But the silence and loneliness can be deafening.

Lee Spitzer actually talked about this in his book, Making friends, making disciples by Judson Press. We struggle to live out the difference between Friendship and Spiritual Leader - they are very different.

Lord, help Your servants and their families as they transition into retirement. As they feel called by You, encourage them to continue serving You in new and encouraging ways, using their gifts for ministry. Bring friends, old and new, into their lives for encouragement. Bless them with renewed and deeper family relationships. We ask in Jesus' name, amen.

Pastor Kevin Walden, Regional Pastor

Friends, please keep our Discipleship & The Holy Spirit Conference in your prayers. We are really excited for this Pastor and Laity Conference which starts on Thursday!

Pastor Jamie Dries is working on a SERVICE PROJECT or 2 for those in attendance to participate in. This is a really exciting opportunity that is a wonderful addition to our conference.

If you haven't signed up, it's not too late - but almost!
