ABCOPAD Prayer Update
April 8, 2015

Here is a are a picture of our praise band that played for the first time on Easter Sunday morning. It went really well! The congregation was very enthusiastic. I've been wanting something like that for a long time--however, God's time is always best. We really didn't have the talent available before, and the congregation probably wasn't ready for it. We had a nice blend of the traditional Easter hymns on the organ and the praise music with the band.

Tomorrow I will be making preparations to go to Nicaragua and I will be leaving on Friday.  Our team will be in Nicaragua April 10 - 19.  While I am away, Regional Pastor for Pastoral Leaders, Rev. Dr. Kevin Walden will be taking care of the Prayer Updates.  You can contact Pastor Kevin directly or better yet, please use our new Prayer Email Address, [email protected]

The women, deep in wonder and full of joy, lost no time in leaving the tomb. They ran to tell the disciples. Then Jesus met them, stopping them in their tracks. "Good morning!" he said. They fell to their knees, embraced his feet, and worshiped him. Jesus said, "You're holding on to me for dear life! Don't be frightened like that. Go tell my brothers that they are to go to Galilee, and that I'll meet them there."

Matthew 28:8-10

Beverly Frank (Pastor at the Emanuel Baptist Church of Donora, Pittsburgh Association)

Pastor Beverly posted this on Facebook.  Okay ... here we go!! I got a call today telling me that I will be having a trial run on Friday and that my radiation treatments will begin on Monday, April 13. I will be having treatments Monday through Friday for the next 5 weeks. Your prayers and words of encouragement, as always, are greatly appreciated.

Mackenzie Scott  (Pastor at FBC Lewisburg, Northumberland Association)

Dear Mark,  Bill Bobb died early yesterday morning, April 7.  The memorial service will be here at FBCLewisburg tomorrow morning at 11:00 a.m.

There may be people in the association-- perhaps farther afield-- who will be interested in this milestone among the older generation of faithful servants of Baptist work in

the area.  Thanks, Mac

Frank and Carolyn Frischkorn  (ABCOPAD Regional Executive Pastor)

Please keep Frank and Carolyn Frischkorn in your prayers. Frank and Carolyn will depart for Ireland on April 14th.  I saw Frank at the Memorial Service for Eric's Dad.  He said all was going well and he is enjoying his time away from all the responsibilities of Regional Ministry.  Thank you for your prayers for these very dear friends and wonderful partners in ministry.
