ABCOPAD Prayer Update
April 1, 2015

Mark writes;
Recently I visited with ABCOPAD Foundation Director of Development Debbie Loessy who is recovering from surgery. Pastor Debbie is preparing for cancer treatments that start soon. The ABCOPAD Foundation board has given Debbie two months of medical leave. Please keep Pastor Debbie in your prayers and refrain from emails and phone calls until she returns to the office.

You should pray like this:

Our Father in heaven,
help us to honor your name.
Come and set up your kingdom,
so that everyone on earth will obey you, as you are obeyed in heaven.
Give us our food for today.
Forgive us for doing wrong, as we forgive others.
Keep us from being tempted and protect us from evil.

The kingdom, the power, and the glory are yours forever.

Amen.

Louise Barger (Interim Pastor at the Calvary Baptist Church, Newark, Delaware Association)

Pastor Louise asked us to pray for Calvary's administrator, Becca Boothe. Becca's father, Wally Carter, passed away on Palm Sunday.  The viewing will take place at the church on Friday, April 3rd, at 9:30am, and the funeral service will begin at 11:00am.

Here is a link to the obituary:

Sherry Willison-Armstrong (Member of FBC Sharon, Beaver Association and Member of the ABCOPAD Regional Board)

Latest on granddaughter Amanda... She was released to return to her dorm after several hours in ER. She had an upsetting incident on campus and it's believed she had a spike in blood pressure that sent things out of control. Fortunately, she will be home for a brief Easter break soon. This breathing thing occurred last year for a while. Anxiety seems to trigger events like this, one of the complications of a heart condition. So grateful for Katie Proudfoot, her roommate, who not only transported her to the local hospital in record time...but also stayed with Amanda at the hospital...missing her own classes for the day! Thank you Katie!!!

And thanks to all for your prayers! And yes, that incident on campus was dealt with quickly. Sounds like things will be back to normal now. Thank you, Lord.

Jim Olsen  (Retired ABCOPAD Pastor in the West Chester Area)

Greetings! First, I want to thank you and the ABCOPAD family for the thoughtful card and gift to Starbucks, but above all for your prayers. I am  still recovering from the stroke that hit me two weeks ago. I am in physical therapy three days a week and seeing doctors periodically. In this Season of New Life in the Risen Christ, and fresh hope in the Living Lord, I would once again ask for a measure of God's grace be granted to all who suffer and are in pain this Easter Season. And I would ask for the ABCOPAD's  prayers as I travel the road to recovery. Christ has Risen... He has Risen Indeed!!!
