Daraja won our Countryside Spelling Bee on January 10.  Today she won the Montessori Schools Spelling Bee!  Next up ... the Mecklenburg County Spelling Bee on February 8.  
 
"This is the first time a Countryside student has won the Montessori Schools Spelling Bee in quite some time, four years or more I believe" said Dolores Murgolo, Director of Curriculum and Instruction.  Daraja's UE 2 Classmates were there to support her and cheer on her victory thanks to the host school, Omni Montessori inviting the entire class to attend today's competition.

Jan. 29 - Teacher Appreciation "Souper" Bowl Luncheon at all 3 campuses.  This annual event is provided by the parents for our faculty and staff as a gesture of our love and appreciation for them.  (It's not for the children in the classroom -- we've heard there has been some confusion in that regard.)

We're at 50% participation now. That's more than last year at this time - YAY!  We're half way to our goal of 100% participation.  Seriously, we need EVERYONE to contribute.
 

The One Fund is a vital piece of our school's financial structure. There are so many extra's that come with operating a PreK - 12th grade independent school: things like Science Olympiad fees; subsidies for Montessori teacher training; yearly upgrades to our classroom, facilities and technology, etc.  

 

Plain and simple, the One Fund is a game changer for Countryside Montessori School.
