Illumination, Children Are Our Greatest Assets, was a funtastic celebration for Assets School!  This year's theme demonstrates our unwavering belief that Children Are Our Greatest Assets and the financial support received from our extended Assets `Ohana reveals that they too share these sentiments!   In a matter of minutes, through the generosity received by our sponsors, donors and guests,  the Call for Donation portion of the program raised $90,000 while the overall event raised $130,000 for a total of $220,000 -- all to benefit tuition assistance! 

Once again everyone was a  awed by the delicious creations of our guest chefs whose delicacies were scrumptious and beautifully displayed. This year's chefs included Chai Chaowasaree of Chef Chai, William Bruhl and Keith Kong of Duke's Waikiki, Rodney Uyehara of HASR Bistro, Paul Matsumoto of the Hawaii Convention Center, JJ Luangkhot of JJ Bistro & French Pastry, Alan Takasaki of Le Bistro, Elmer Guzman of Poke Stop, Goran Streng of Tango Contemporary Cafe, Eric Leterc of The Pacific Club and Alan Tsuchiyama and KCC Culinary students who represented Y. Hata.


A big mahalo to our co-chairs Norma Hara and Marie Garrett whose hard work and organizing along with the help of over 150 volunteers made this event possible.
