Quote of the Month

Another fresh new year is here . . .
Another year to live!
To banish worry, doubt, and fear,
To love and laugh and give!

This bright new year is given me
To live each day with zest . .

To daily grow and try to be
My highest and my best!

I have the opportunity
Once more to right some wrongs,
To pray for peace, to plant a tree,
And sing more joyful songs!

- William Arthur Ward

Illumination, Come Together  will be held on March 1 at the Hawaii Convention Center.  Featuring Hawaii's own Beatles tribute band, Day in the Life, this theme compels all to Come Together to support Assets School.

Illumination is our largest source of revenue for tuition assistance. Mark your calendar now to enjoy this spectacular evening with a live and silent auction, fantastic door prizes and ten gourmet tasting stations!

Tickets and tables are available for purchase on line.   Click here to purchase tickets and tables.

In February, we will host an online auction so your friends far and near can bid on items to support Assets School.  Bookmark us at http://www.biddingforgood.com/Assets and check back frequently as we acquire and upload new auction items!

People Who Make Assets Work
Much of the work at Assets School is what is seen.  Teaching lessons, students learning, gaining new skills,  growing, changing and thriving.

However, for the past several years, thanks to the office of Senator Daniel K. Inouye, a great deal of unseen work happened that resulted in Assets being able to purchase our land.  Details of this purchase are still being sorted and we hope by March 2013 to own our property at One Ohana Nui Way.

Here at Assets as our state and nation mourn the loss of our great Senator, we too want to say our Aloha and Mahalo for his influence. Mahalo Senator Inouye for helping Assets School to find a permanent home.
