6th Consecutive Year of Back to School Shopping
Crayons 2 Classrooms has been open for back-to-school shopping for 6 consecutive school years! To celebrate, DC2C is opening its doors Wednesday, August 6th for start of the semester shopping. Thank you to all the teachers who have participated in DC2C shopping and to all the donors, who have provided us with all the supplies to fill our store as well as the means to keep DC2C running.

Register for Shopping Days
Registration for shopping for the 2014-2015 school year is now open. Shopping days begin August 6th and will run through May 2015. In order to register visit http://crayonstoclassrooms.3cfreestore.com/TeacherSchool_Menu.aspx. If you have forgotten your username or password please email Michelle Koogler at m.koogler@dc2c.org. Please remember that you are only permitted to shop on days that you have registered for, so be on the look out for a confirmation email that signifies that you have successfully registered. We respectfully ask that you leave children and unregistered friends at home. Shopping days are on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays from 3-6pm. September 3rd is our next open shopping date, so be sure to register before it is filled. We cannot wait to see you all at DC2C!

Huntington Bank Campaign
Our Huntington Bank Campaign has officially begun! You can now stop by a Huntington Bank branch to donate school supplies as well as make a monetary donation to help reach out to students in need! There are 18 local branches participating, spanning from Springboro to Springfield. Huntington is partnering with Channel 7 to host this wonderful supply drive to help kick off the school year right. Keep an eye out for the commercial that will be running from
now through the 31st on Channel 7 to learn

Dayton Dragons Contest
Are you smarter than a 5th grader? Enter to win a Dayton Dragons prize pack that includes two FREE tickets to a Dragons game by telling us about your 5th grade teacher or favorite 5th grade memories by joining the conversation on our Facebook page. Last chance to enter is Friday, August 8th. Don't forget to mark your calendars for our special "Are You Smarter Than a 5th Grader" 5th Anniversary event that is being held on March 5th, 2015.

Chocolate 5k
DC2C will be partnering with NR Road Racing on Sunday, August 17th, to present the Dayton Chocolate 5k! For those of you with a sweet tooth, this 5k promises to be as fun as it will be delicious. Ghiradelli will be supplying the chocolate for you to enjoy throughout the race. The day will be filled with family fun and tasty treats even after the race has ended, all runners, along with their family and friends are invited to stay for a party after, listen to music, and, of course, eat some more chocolate. This event will be held at the Eastwood Metropark. Tickets are available prior to the race for $35, but will be increased to $40 if purchased as a walk-up. Click here to purchase your ticket. You're Invited...
We appreciate your support of Crayons to Classrooms, and therefore would like to extend to you the opportunity to learn more about our organization. Please join us for a Lunch and Learn session, where you will hear about our mission, accomplishments, and plans to grow while enjoying some lunch. Come and see what we do at DC2C. A tour of our store and our warehouse will be provided. Did we mention that lunch will be free?
We have 4 "Lunch and Learn" sessions scheduled from noon to 1 pm on the following dates:
- Wednesday, August 20
- Wednesday, September 17
- Wednesday, October 15
- Wednesday, November 5
