DCR Chamber Welcomes New Summer Intern

Greetings! Allow me to introduce myself as a new summer intern for the Dakota Country Regional Chamber of Commerce. My name is Garrett Ahn and I will be working to help plan upcoming events and programs with the chamber as well as assisting with membership.  I am currently attending the University of Wisconsin Eau Claire and plan to double major in finance and marketing. I am from the Lino Lakes area and I love having the opportunity to enjoy the great outdoors in a state like Minnesota. I plan to take advantage of this gorgeous summer weather by competing in multiple volleyball and softball leagues. I also enjoy the occasional camping and fishing trip up north with the family. I am very excited for the opportunity to work for the Dakota County Regional Chamber this summer and contribute to the local business community.

Committed to business... for YOU.

Robert Street Work Session Underway

Will your West St. Paul business impacted by street reconstruction along Robert Street?  On Monday, June 9, WSP's City Council will be conducting a work session beginning at 5:00 p.m. at City Hall to review the streetscape recommendations and plans for reconstruction.  The City Council is very interested in creating a welcoming and unique environment, which is scheduled to occur over the next three years. The hope is to create an environment that is safe, convenient, more walkable and attractive for existing and new investment in businesses/services and housing that meets the current and future needs of the community.  However, several existing businesses may be impacted by the proposed changes, which may be financial, visibility, and access limitations.

Plan to attend so that you can learn more about the proposed plan and provide input into this important process.  An open house in late June is also being planned for public comment.   Watch for further information.
