Thank you to our panel of experts and moderator Mike Zipko who spoke at our Legislative Breakfast on April 18:  Denise Cardinal, Cardinal Insight; Carl Kuhl, Connolly Kuhl Group; and Mike Franklin, Weber Johnson Public Affairs.

April's Legislative Breakfast Poll included the following results:

  • 50% believe the legislature will adjourn the 2014 session early (prior to May 19) and 50% do not.
  • 75% believe Governor Mark Dayton will be re-elected as Governor of the State of Minnesota, 25% do not.

Please join us again on May 16 for our next Legislative Breakfast. We are pleased to announce that Minnesota's Republican Party Chair Keith Downey and Democratic Party Chair Ken Martin will be with us on the 16th to discuss November's elections. Planning Commission Considers Dynamic Sign Ordinance Change
Over the past several months, your Chamber has been advocating to increase the frequency of change allowed for dynamic signs in Eagan.  Currently the ordinance allows for one change every 20 minutes.  After research and study, a new ordinance is being considered to allow for change to occur every 60 seconds, thereby allowing businesses to utilize their signage as a resource and in marketing efforts.  The Planning Commission will be discussing this issue on April 22 at 6:30 p.m.
