Luxe Design Trends: Taking Work Home

Today more and more people are telecommuting and working from home. While some use their home office almost full-time and have an entire room dedicated to that purpose, others who have less space to spare, have built-in desks, shelving and storage or have constructed a clever workstations inside a kitchen, den, bedroom or living room. Whether it's meant to replace the usual 9-5 place of business in whole or in part or designed as a place to pay bills, go through mail, do homework or play computer games, the trend is to create an inviting "home office" using select built-ins or modern space saving desks, task chairs, file cabinets and hide-away Murphy beds, which often have storage and work stations integrated into their structure. Soon "honey I'm home" may be as simple as shutting down the PC and folding away the home work station.

Luxe Word from the President: LUXE Defined.

Earlier this year Bonnie Stone Sellers, CEO Christie's International Real Estate was quoted as saying, "Residential real estate is a tale of two markets - luxury and everything else." We couldn't agree more; and frankly, that belief is what propelled us to launch Luxelisthome.com in 2010. Our goal was then and is still now to transform the search and listing of luxury real estate on Luxelisthome.com to become the single most effective on-line tool to engage and connect qualified luxury buyers and renters to a prescreened short list of luxury properties. To this end, we developed and continue to deploy a patent-pending scoring module to presort our luxury listings and we now make an abbreviated form of the module available to our Realtor professionals, affording them the opportunity to feature their luxury listings as "Premier" luxury properties deserving of special attention. Our large social media following and proactive campaigns have consistently reinforced our brand as a proxy for luxury real estate listing and search, especially when compared to the cluttered, albeit larger, national websites which default to "price" as their only arbiter of "luxury." As we move into the final quarter of 2013, look for further refinements to our search modules and new tools which will enhance both the listing of and search for luxury properties at luxelisthome.com.
Although there are a variety of residential websites available, Luxe List Home is the only one that empowers visitors to sort by quality.
