LAHTF Announcement
The Louisville Affordable Housing Trust Fund (LAHTF) is currently requesting proposals from both nonprofit and for-profit developers for its HOMEbuyer Program, which makes homeownership affordable to low-income, first-time home buyers. There is currently $453,389 available in the HOMEbuyer Program pool of funds. The LAHTF HOMEbuyer Program helps developers make high-quality homeownership affordable to low-income people by providing assistance with development costs, including through a forgivable loan to the developer to cover the difference between development costs and appraisal. The program can also provide forgivable loans to home buyers for down payment and closing costs.
Funds are available on a first-come, first-served basis between now and May 2016 to developers who have a qualified home buyer. Application forms for requesting development subsidy, down payment and closing cost assistance, and soft costs can be obtained by contacting program@louisvilleahtf.org.
