VETT Program Vouchers Available
As a reminder, Kentucky Housing Corporation (KHC) has dedicated permanent housing assistance vouchers for approximately 80 homeless Kentucky veterans to be available immediately through the Veterans Emerging Towards Transition (VETT) Program. This effort supports the Mayors Challenge to End Veteran Homelessness, announced by First Lady Michelle Obama in June 2014. KHC and the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) are partnering to end veteran homelessness in Kentucky.

Through the VETT Program, KHC has designated a preference for Housing Choice Vouchers (HCV) for qualified homeless veterans in the 87 counties KHC serves under the HCV Program. This assistance will help qualified veterans pay for housing and, ultimately, reduce the number of homeless veterans in Kentucky. Through KHC, local service providers will coordinate the completion of certification checklists to be used as referral tools to qualify homeless veterans for the housing assistance.

To review the referral process and mandatory forms for the VETT Vouchers, please visit  KHC's website, under Specialized Housing, Programs Available.
Limited HCA Help Desk Coverage
The Housing Contract Administration (HCA) Help Desk staff will be attending work-related trainings and conferences through Friday, September 18, 2015. While there will still be HCA Help Desk coverage, it will be limited and may take longer to receive a response.

To ask an HCA question, visit the HCA Help Desk, available on KHC's website, under the Systems tab. From the Help Desk, click on Submit a Request. Be sure to populate the appropriate boxes and be as specific as possible in the description.

Additionally, you may click on Resources to find more information about the federal housing programs available. Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs) are also available.

The HCA Help Desk team appreciates your patience during this time of limited coverage!
