Building HOME Webinar Series
Over the next year, the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) will conduct four virtual deliveries of the Building HOME Investment Partnerships Program (HOME) training. This course is a prerequisite for other HOME topical courses to follow. The virtual delivery of Building HOME provides an overview of the HOME Program, including the latest requirements published July 24, 2013: HOME Final Rule. Participants will become familiar with all program activities, including homeowner and home buyer, rental housing, Tenant-Based Rental Assistance, and CHDO activities. This is an introduction to the HOME Program inclusive of all of the new regulatory changes, but in a modified format for a virtual delivery.
This is a four-week series taking place via Webinar technology on the following Wednesdays:: September 16, 23, 30, and October 7. Participants are expected to attend all four sessions in the series. Sessions will be recorded and posted to allow registered participants who may have a scheduling conflict for a Webinar session. Participation will be tracked to document completion of the series as a pre-requisite for future HOME certifications.
Additional Building HOME Webinar series are being planned in 2016 for January, April, and September.
Who Should Attend? The Building HOME Webinar Series is relevant to Participating Jurisdiction staff, subrecipients, and CHDOs. This Webinar is limited to 300 participants and registration for this training will close 24 hours before the Webinar begins.
