Application Deadline Extended
Due to technical issues regarding KHC's Capacity Scorecard, the deadline for the FY2016 Housing Assistance Fund (HAF) Counseling program has been extended until 11:59 p.m. ET, Wednesday, June 17, 2015. No further extensions will be provided.
The 2016 HAF counseling manual, application, and capacity scorecard are available on KHC's website, under Resources, Partners, Housing Counselors. To be considered for funding, applications must be submitted by 11:59 p.m. ET, Wednesday, June 17, 2015. Applicants must meet minimum requirements set by the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) to become an approved housing counseling agency, including: local housing counseling agencies, agencies part of larger intermediaries, or multi-state organizations, including those agencies that have sub-grantee relationships with KHC.
Applicants must score a minimum of 60 percent on KHC's Agency Capacity Scorecard.
KHC will not approve requests for waivers of the thresholds.
Funds will be awarded based on the total Housing Assistance Funds purposed for housing education and counseling, not to exceed $70,000, based on past years; on the score from the Agency Capacity Scorecard; on past performance; and on projected future performance.
