KHP Loans and Urgent AC Replacements Cooling Off Hot Customers with Great Financing

The impending cooling season means hectic schedules and increased business for HVAC companies, and many of these projects will present an unexpected - and unwelcome - expense for our customers.

KHP contractors can take some of the sting out of these transactions by offering financing that features low monthly payments, reduced interest rates, and pain-free processing from a trusted source. And don't forget to remind the customer that they won't have to make any payments immediately, since KHP is still making the first three payments on all projects!

Financing takes too long, you say? We understand that timely response is essential, especially for people who are literally overheated. By building some strategic preparation into your sales presentation, you can be ready to provide an immediate solution. With minimal preparation and some quick info gathering during that first visit, your sale can be finalized as soon as the customer is pre-approved (usually a same-day proposition). With a few extra minutes into a sales call, no further trips to the site or paperwork-chasing calls to the customer will be necessary. Ken and Matt can help you fine-tune this process to make sure none of your customers have to choose between a functioning air conditioner and a great financing option.

Energy Efficiency on the Radar in Kentucky

A New Policy from Frankfort Promises a Boost to the Industry

Governor Beshear signed into law last month a bipartisan bill that could have a significant impact on energy efficiency contractors in Kentucky. Enabling the creation of Energy Project Assessment Districts (EPAD) across the Commonwealth, this law will allow building owners to voluntarily perform energy improvements to their buildings using an innovative financing mechanism that connects the loan to an assessment on their property tax bill.

Since commercial property owners most commonly cite the upfront costs of these improvement projects as the primary obstacle toward conducting even very cost-effective measures, EPAD has the potential to significantly increase the number of energy upgrades that take place on commercial properties across Kentucky.

The Kentucky Department of Energy Development and Independence (DEDI) is taking the lead of implementing this new initiative. DEDI will release materials soon, which describe the workings of this valuable new financing tool, and KHP will make that information available to member contractors through this and other channels.
