Public Hearing Notice

KHC will hold a public hearing on the proposed state plan for the 2015 Weatherization Assistance Program Formula Grant for Low-Income Persons, Title IV, Part A, Public Law 94-385. The public hearing will be held on Tuesday, April 14, 2015, from 2-5 p.m. ET, in KHC's Board room, located at 1231 Louisville Road, Frankfort.

 

The state plan outlines the proposed administration of the Weatherization Program funds for the Weatherization Formula Grant program year 2015-2016.

 

Public comments will be accepted at the hearing, limited to two minutes per person. Written comments will also be accepted until noon ET, Tuesday, April 14. All comments will be taken into consideration in developing the final draft. State plans will be submitted to the U.S. Department of Energy on Wednesday, April 29.

 

Drafts of the 2015 Budget and Annual File and the 2015 Master File are available for review on KHC's website, under Development, Single-Family, Weatherization Assistance Program Resources, under the Budget and Allocation dropdown. Copies of these documents will also be available at the public hearing.

2015 ESG Application Score Sheet Available

The Score Sheet for the 2015 Emergency Solutions Grant (ESG) application is now available on KHC's website, under Specialized Housing, Emergency Solutions Grant, Application Materials, ESG Score Sheet.

2015 ESG Application Available

The 2015 ESG Application is now available. Applications are Web-based and do not require a paper submission. The 2015 ESG Allocation is $2,417,145.


The deadline for submission is 5 p.m. ET, Monday, April 20, 2015. The 2015 ESG Application is available on
KHC's website, under Specialized Housing, Emergency Solutions Grant, Funding Application. The ESG Program Guidelines are available under ESG Resources.
 
A series of training videos are also available on
KHC's website, under Specialized Housing, Emergency Solutions Grant. Individuals are encouraged to review each video prior to completing the application.

When submitting your 2015 ESG Application, please name it something other than "2015 ESG" to differentiate your application.

Public Comment Period 

The 2015-2019 Consolidation Plan for Kentucky's Block Grant Housing programs is available for public comment through Wednesday, May 6, 2015.

 

The Consolidated Plan and annual Action Plan is the Commonwealth's application and distribution plan for the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD), Office of Community Planning and Development (CPD) Programs (HOME, ESG, CDBG and HOPWA), and is submitted by KHC and the Department for Local Government.

 

Kentucky has drafted the five-year Consolidated Plan and annual Action Plan and is receiving written comments to obtain public input. Written comments will be accepted and, where applicable, will be incorporated into the document. The Consolidated Plan covers the time period of July 1, 2015, to June 30, 2019.

 

The Consolidated Plan is available for review on KHC's website under Data Library, Consolidated Plan. Please email written comments to Bernadette Hillman at bhillman@kyhousing.org or mail them to KHC, 1231 Louisville Road, Frankfort, Kentucky, 40601.
