TRACS 202D Conversion Deadline is Today!

Today, Friday, February 27, 2015, is the last day to transmit 202C formatted tenant and voucher files to Kentucky Housing Corporation (KHC).

The U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development's (HUD) Tenant Rental Assistance Certification System (TRACS) is preparing for the release of TRACS 202D. This release will accommodate new and modified tenant certification processes, which allow TRACS to verify transactions and voucher payments consistent with the Improper Payments Elimination and Recovery Act (IPERA) and HUD 4350.3 Revised-1 Change 4.

Effective Monday, March 2, 2015, KHC and TRACS will no longer accept 202C file transmissions. These files will be rejected and will not transmit to TRACS. If properties are not converted to 202D format, it could cause monthly Housing Assistance Payments (HAP) to be delayed.

Properties should contact their software provider for information on converting formats.

For tenant file and voucher related guidance, properties should obtain an updated copy of the TRACS Monthly Activity Transmission (MAT) Guide. Special attention should be given to the highlighted information:  calculation guides, relationship rules, and repayment agreement information. Additional 202D information can be found on HUD's website under TRACS Documents.

For specific questions or concerns regarding tenant files and vouchers, please contact your KHC voucher specialist.
