Speakers Spotlight 

 

Sara Pratt has been deputy assistant secretary for Enforcement and  Programs at the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) Office of Fair Housing and Equal Opportunity (FHEO) since September 2010. She oversees HUD's enforcement of the Fair Housing Act, Title VI of the 1964 Civil Rights Act and other civil rights laws, the Fair Housing Assistance Program, the Fair Housing Initiatives Program, and HUD's enforcement of Section 3 of the Housing and Urban Development Act. As director of enforcement at the HUD between 1993 and 1999, Pratt participated in a number of initiatives relating to discrimination in housing and lending. She has worked as an attorney, trainer, and fair housing and civil rights expert for 38 years. 

 

Christopher Taylor began his position with the HUD Kentucky Field Office in August 2014. As the Kentucky Field Office director, Mr. Taylor serves as HUD's liaison to mayors, city managers, elected  representatives, state and local officials, congressional delegations, nonprofit groups, private entities, faith-based groups, other stakeholders, and individual Americans. He is responsible for overseeing the delivery of HUD programs and services to communities and individuals, as well as evaluating their efficiency and effectiveness. Prior to coming to the HUD Kentucky Field Office, Mr. Taylor served as the director for Budget and Program Review Division in the Office of Public and Indian Housing in Washington, DC. A native of Saint Louis, Mr. Taylor has a master's degree in Public Administration from the Rockefeller College at State University of New York Albany, and a bachelor's degree in Business Administration from Morehouse College.
