KHC Embarks on a New Initiative!

Kentucky Housing Corporation (KHC) is pleased to share information about an exciting new initiative known as KHC 20/20--where vision and strategy lead change and opportunity.

KHC 20/20 is the Corporation's overall strategic plan and remodeling of the organization which will be taking place over the coming months.  The goal of this initiative is not a reduction in staff, but rather a strategic realignment of resources to continue meeting the mission of providing safe, quality, affordable housing.

KHC has experienced unprecedented changes in how to provide financing for affordable housing over the past five years, as have all of you. In anticipation of additional changes, such as reduced federal funding, restructuring of the Government Sponsored Enterprises, and changes in national housing policy, the Corporation is establishing a new organizational framework to be proactive and better position the Corporation to deal with those challenges, as well as seek new opportunities for offering affordable housing programming to the state of Kentucky.

The goal is to create an organization that uses cross-functional teams and maximizes efficiencies throughout the Corporation. This structure allows more agility and flexibility in this rapidly-changing economic environment, so KHC can continue to address the housing needs of Kentuckians.  Some job functions may change in this process, and you might work with a new contact person at KHC.  Everyone at KHC is committed to make the transition as smooth as possible for our partners and maintain high levels of service to both partners and clients.

"We are changing our business model after 40 years by adopting a new vision," said Richard L. McQuady, chief executive officer.  "This initiative and remodeling is innovative and will help position KHC for long-term sustainability as a more flexible and efficient organization.  We will be able to respond to changing economic conditions with dedication and commitment to our partners and those who need our programs and services.  We are excited about the opportunities this creates for staff, the organization, our partners, and those we serve."

More information, including staff changes and contact information, will be shared with you through KHC's eGrams as changes take place.
