A respected economic authority recently inquired of his premier clients, "Can you name the fear that gripped this country just six months ago?"
It wasn't the price or availability of oil. It wasn't the terrorism threatened by Islamic extremists. It wasn't the policies of Washington bureaucrats. Two dozen men and women, when asked, couldn't correctly identify the dominant concern voiced by America's headlines in the summer of 2014.
It was Ebola.
Six months later, there's no talk of pandemic outbreak of the disease. Six months later, most people no longer fear its threat; in fact, most people were unable to remember it.
