Have you noticed that it has gotten warmer outside? Probably you would like to get out of the house, but what to do when the temperature is 105? Let's go swimming.  Log onto the web site and right there on the Owner Home page you will find Hours listed. Click on that button and scroll down to Swimming Pools. There for your reading pleasure are the hours of operation for all pools in IronOaks. Now just to be on the safe side, click on HOA Info and then click on Governing Documents. If you look at the list that comes up, you will see Rules& Regulations. Glance through the document until you come to pool rules. Take a quick peek at them, and you are all set. Get that suit on, don't forget the sun screen, and jump In. SPLASH!!!

Bee Alert

Bee Invasion

Over the course of the last 60 days, the Facilities Department has responded to 11 calls from homeowners reporting bee problems. The number of calls received is unprecedented, and is more than were received in all of 2014. All of these calls would have been life threatening to those with a history of allergic reactions to bee stings. Sun Lakes is not unique, as there has been a substantial rise in bee calls valley wide this spring.

A recent call involved one of our golf course personnel who was stung nearly 50 times. He was working on the perimeter edge of the golf course adjacent to a homeowner's yard. The hive was located in Unit 43. If you notice a number of bees on common property, call the Facilities Department at 480-862-5567. If the bees are on your property call an exterminator. There are businesses that specialize in bee removal. The facilities department is remaining vigilant and we ask that homeowners do the same.

Just a friendly reminder for you to keep your homeowner's information up-to-date. We all occasionally change vehicles, phone numbers, or cell phones.The one thing we all forget to do is STOP BY THE PATROL OFFICE and update our records. Transferring RFID devices from one car to another is quite legal, but we need to know about it. If you purchase a new car, or even get a new windshield, we will remove the RFID device for you and transfer it to the new car or windshield. This will save you $20.00. We are open Monday through Friday, 8:00 am until 4:00 pm. Please stop by and say hello and update your records.

ALC News

 

Line of Sight                                                               

 

Maricopa County, the City of Chandler, and the ALC Guidelines are specific regarding corner lots visibility at intersections. IronOaks compounds the issue by having streets that curve at the corners. "Line of Sight" allows drivers approaching the intersection to have a clear view of traffic approaching from the right or left.

 

If you have landscaping within a 25 foot radius of an intersection, none of the plants can be in excess of two feet in height. Trees in that space have to be trimmed up six feet from the ground.

 

Recently the ALC office has had calls regarding problems with being able to see cars approaching when trying to turn at a corner. Please check your property to make sure you do not have plants and/or trees blocking the "Line of Sight". This is very critical and important in keeping our streets safe and avoiding accidents.

Lakes Course Closed


For the safety of everyone, the course will be completely off limits to homeowners that live on the Lakes course and those who use the course for access to the pro shop. There will be open trenches and numerous other hazards all over the golf course.

Monday, Wednesday, Friday, Saturday and Sunday:  6:00 am to 2:00 pm.

Beginning Thursday, June 11, 2015, a dinner buffet will be held at Sunsets in the Oakwood Clubhouse from 5:00 pm to 8:00 pm. The cost is $12.00 per parson. The menu will feature different choices each week. A look at the chart will tell you what your choices are for the next 5 weeks. At the end of the 5 weeks, the menu will revert back to week one. Have a great dinner and free entertainment in Sunset's Lounge all for a very affordable price.
