Web Site Tips

This week we are going golfing. Oh wait! We best check and make sure that we know the policies that govern our courses. Log into the web site and click on the Golf button at the top. You will see a beautiful picture of one of our courses. OK, enough gazing. Look to the left and click on Rules and Policies. Amazing! There are two major policies governing the courses. Click on them and get busy reading. Once you are done educating yourself, pick up your clubs and head to the course. Please don't try to play the Lakes Course. It is closed for renovation. Have fun, and avoid the traps if you can!

Lake Fountain Not Working New

The fountain in the lake at Palms Course Hole #1 is not working. The fountain motor has failed and must be sent out for service. The estimated time for repair is sometime in June. This fountain is located in the lake just inside the main gate on EJ Robson Boulevard.

Gas Line News

The Sub - Contractors With Southwest Gas Have Begun Work

Running the gas line to the Voax Pool started Tuesday, May 26, 2015. The contractors began work on Ribbonwood Drive. The gas line connection is between Voax Drive and Champagne Drive in front of the Ironwood Clubhouse. Work begins at the pool location and heads north on Ribbonwood, then right on Champagne Drive to the source, the Southwest gas main line location.

Weed Alert! Weed Alert!

By now you all know the equation RAIN = WEEDS. While we all welcomed the amount of rain we got last Friday, we can also be sure that weeds will follow. Please have a look around your property in the next week to be sure you have no unwanted green things growing in your yard. If you are gone for the summer, be sure to contact your home caretaker so that he or she can look over your landscaped areas. Thanks! We all want to keep IronOaks looking its best.

Message From Patrol

PROTECT YOUR ANIMALS

It has been reported that there are quite a few coyotes wandering around on the golf courses and in our community. This is a common occurrence, and one that we cannot stop.
SO BEWARE!

Do not let your pets wander loose, especially at night. Cats and little dogs become tasty food for a hungry coyote, especially when they have young ones that they are trying to provide for any young ones. Keep your pets home and safe.

The Owl Saga

Baby Owl Update

Last Thursday the first Baby came out of her nest around 10:30 am. She landed on the fence near the Pool Side Grill gate, and some time between 2:30 pm and 7:00 pm she left. After discussing with Cheryl at Liberty Wildlife, we learned this is normal activity. She needs to learn to fly. Mom and Dad are nearby, watching and feeding her. There are 2 more babies still in the nest and they will do the same thing soon. Wherever they land, they need to be left alone and protected with caution tape.There is a fine if anything should happen to the owls as they are an endangered species. The parents will also attack anyone trying to bother the babies! They are Great Horned Owls and Liberty Wildlife is aware of this family.

A big thank you to all who sent in pictures. We really appreciate your efforts, and it has been a great deal of fun looking at all of them! Hopefully the owl family will live a long and happy life.

Lakes Course Closed

For the safety of everyone, the course will be completely off limits to homeowners that live on the Lakes course, and those who use the course for access to the pro shop. There will be open trenches and numerous other hazards all over the golf course.

Ironwood Closing

Closing Announcement

The Ironwood Bar and Restaurant will be closed June 1, 2015 through June 5, 2015, while the Golf Course is closed. Trivia will still be held Thursday, June 4, 2015, and Poker will still be played on Friday, June 5, 2015. The doors will open at 5:00 pm for Trivia and 4:00 pm for Poker. We apologize for any inconvenience.
