Water exercise benefits virtually everyone, and this exercise cushions stiff and painful joints that may be injured from land training. Athletes use swimming to cross-train or rehabilitate an injury. Water provides at least 12 times greater resistance than air. This added resistance challenges your body with a cooling workout. In addition to many other benefits, aquatic exercise can reduce osteoarthritis pain.

A recent systematic review, published in The Cochrane Library, has found that for patients suffering from hip or knee osteoarthritis, doing cardiovascular and stretching exercises in water can bring some pain relief and may improve daily function.

We look forward to seeing you in class!

When was the last time you stretched?sky-yoga-group.jpg

Did you know stretching for 5 to 10 minutes a day can help increase your flexibility and range of motion? Adding a stretching routine to your exercise regimen is beneficial and increases our ability to reach, lift, and stay moving. Are you unsure of which muscles to stretch or if you are stretching effectively?

Stop by and speak with Erik, a certified personal trainer, in the fitness center to learn more!

The IronOaks Fitness and Racquet Club is very proud of this team of men.  With limited practice time, their skills and love of the sport have proven to be greater than their competition.
