Message From The General Manager

 

Lakes Golf Course Project

 

A pre-construction meeting was held last Wednesday afternoon.The renovation of the Lakes Golf Course is set to begin on May 11, 2015, and continue until the end of September.

Wadsworth will begin mobilization of equipment and supplies after April 25, 2015.  Please remember cart paths will be closed, along with the course itself, for the duration of the renovation project.

 

Grill on the Green

 

I would like to debunk the rumor that we are closing Grill on the Green at Ironwood. We have never considered this as an option.  We announced the summer hours for Grill on the Green at Ironwood in April, 2015, as 7 days a week from 8:00 am to 1:00 pm beginning May1, 2015. This is much earlier than we open now in order to offer breakfast options. We will also have special events during the week in the evenings. Our decision was based on running sales totals for the previous three years, which showed days where we had zero sales.  With that being said, we cannot justify the cost of staff for no sales.  During the hours the restaurant is closed, beer can be purchased in the pro shop and you may still utilize the clubhouse.  With every decision I make, I do my due diligence, and I am aware there will be people who will not agree.  However, the board has tasked me with improving F&B, and to not do worse than our 2015 projected budget.  

 

Although our summer hours are earlier than in the winter,we understand there may be a time when the use of the clubhouse and restaurant is needed.  If there is a large group of golfers who would like to use the clubhouse and restaurant after hours, we can arrange for catering after

1:00 pm.  Just let us know in advance so that we can make arrangements.

A Sunday Happening

The Sunday Buffet has been in operation for two weeks. The first week 283 people attended and this past week that number grew to 451.  Come join us on Sundays from 8:00 am to 1:00pm.  For just $10.00 you can partake of an "All You Can Eat Buffet".
