New Accounting Changes

 

What's happening in our world of Finance?

 

As you are aware my transition into the General Manager role left a hole in accounting.  With the help of the prior accounting team of Tammy, Dean, Penny and Jennifer, we have been able to finalize financials in a timely manner. 

 

Please join me in welcoming the following to our Accounting team:

  • Ken Cloud, our new Controller.  Ken has a Bachelor's degree in Accounting from ASU, and is a CPA.  He will oversee all areas of our accounting department, process month end financials, work with departments to maintain our projected budget, and oversee our annual audits. 
  • Tammy Mason, our new HR/Payroll Manager.  Tammy has been with IronOaks for over 3 ½  years and was our Assistant Controller.  She will process all payroll and related taxes, new hire paperwork, oversee employee benefits and worker's compensation, and month end processing.
  • Verena Aragon, our new Assistant Controller. Verena is new to the IronOaks family, and has recently relocated to the Phoenix area. She holds a MBA from NMSU and is bilingual.  She has prior experience with Jonas and will assist in month end processing, updating the asset/depreciation and the reserve study programs, bank account reconciliations, and vendor contracts.
  • Penny Bulger, our new Accounts Payable Accountant. Penny has been with IronOaks a little over six months and was our Payroll Accountant.  She will process all invoices for payment, money transfers from the operating account to the reserve and face fund accounts, project payment tracking, and month end processing.

I am very happy to report with all the above positions changes, we are still under the 2015 projected payroll budget. 

 

Monthly Meet & Greet

 

I will begin my monthly Meet & Greet with homeowners on the 4th Friday of every month at

1:00 pm.  Each month a different department manager and myself will meet with homeowners to answer questions and hear input.  Our first Meet & Greet will be April 24th at 1:00 pm at the Ironwood Clubhouse with the managers from accounting department; Ken, Tammy and Verena.
