The Farmers' Market Has Moved

On the first and third Tuesday of each month, come enjoy the great weather, wonderful items to look at or buy. COME TO THE FARMER'S MARKET!  You only have a few months left before the Market packs up and leaves for the summer.
More vendors have booths and there is always an array of fresh vegetables!

Web Site Tips

Lady on Computer Let's  talk golf some more.  Log onto the web site, look at the brown bar across the top of the owner home page and click on Golf. Once there, look at the list on the left and click on Rules and Policies. Now you can choose between 3 really important subjects, along with the IronOaks Course Rules.  Once you have digested all this material, pick up the clubs and head to course.  I tell you folks, the more you look, the more you learn!  TEE TIME!!!
President's Message

           PRESIDENT'S MESSAGE

The last month has been a busy one for the Board of Directors. The Board has initiated a new process to help our Members be better informed. An Agenda Workshop was held to allow the Board and the public to flush out the upcoming events that will be presented at the monthly Board meeting. A Food and Beverage Task Force has been formed, comprised of staff, Board members and homeowners. The purpose of this working group is to focus on the processes that effect labor, costs of goods and quality of management.

The agenda meeting brought to our attention the need to restructure the Committee Project process. The Board feels that reports need to be ready for presentation before asking for a Board hearing and vote. The project checklist for completeness will be reviewed and updated as necessary. Future "Community Project Information Meetings" will be scheduled and announced.

Staff and Committees are working on the final project request for the Lakes Course Renovation. An order for the pump station on the course has been placed. The remaining areas to be vetted will be presented in March.

Please be alert for future workshops and special Board Meeting dates and of course please plan to attend our regularly scheduled Board Meetings.

A Message From Patrol

Attention All Drivers

2005 Arizona Revised Statutes - Revised Statutes §28-792  Right-of-way at crosswalk

A. Except as provided in section 28-793, subsection B, if traffic control signals are not in place or are not in operation, the driver of a vehicle shall yield the right-of-way, slowing down or stopping, if need be, in order to yield to a pedestrian crossing the roadway within a crosswalk when the pedestrian is on the half of the roadway on which the vehicle is traveling, or when the pedestrian is approaching so closely from the opposite half of the roadway as to be in danger. A pedestrian shall not suddenly leave any curb, or other place of safety, and walk or run into the path of a vehicle that is so close that it is impossible for the driver to yield.

B. If a vehicle is stopped at a marked crosswalk or at an unmarked crosswalk at an intersection to permit a pedestrian to cross the roadway, the driver of another vehicle approaching from the rear shall not overtake and pass the stopped vehicle.

South Dobson Gate Repairs

Purchase orders have been released to three different contractors in order that the South Dobson Gate can be repaired as quickly as possible. Concrete work will started Wednesday, February 25, 2015, and should be completed by Saturday, February 28, 2015.

The electrical contractor will start his work on Monday, March 2, 2015. New wires have to be pulled from the meter, which is located almost across from the Catholic Church. At that point, all new electrical equipment will be installed. Once that is done, and we hope it won't take more than a week, the gate technician will start to re-install all the gate equipment. That should take no more than a day. We anticipate the gate will re-open no later than March 10, 2015.

Director of Patrol

A Message From ALC

WHO IS STRONGER, THE WEEDS OR YOU?

When you consider the tenacity of weeds, it is a wonder any of us win the battle we wage with these pesky invaders. Homeowners need to be tenacious too. We need to maintain the community standards we all agreed with when we moved into this great place called IronOaks. Please do your part by surveying your property today, and removing and discarding any weeks you find. The Architectural Landscape Department thanks you for your efforts in this regard.

Annual IronOaks Preventive Road Maintenance 2015

Crack Sealing

This will affect all of Ironwood and sections of Oakwood

We will be performing Crack Sealing on the roads in the units listed below.

Please note: this is crack sealing not crack filling. After this process is completed, the fill material will not always be level with the surface of the road. This process will not affect any home owner related activities or appointments. This process moves along quickly and the roads can be driven on immediately once the contractor leaves the vicinity of your home. The locations where this process is being performed will receive a seal coat & re-stripe during late May/June of 2015.

In Units 29 & 31: February 27 - March 2nd all roads in these units will be sealed.

Art At The Lakes Show and Sale will be held Saturday, March 7, 2015, from 9:00 am to 2:00 pm at Cottonwood Lake on Brentwood Drive in Cottonwood. There will be over eighty artists displaying and selling their work. A raffle table with gift baskets, gift certificates, dinners out and many other items will be available.  You will also be able to enjoy the music of the Dry Heat Pickers, watch the young ones enjoy the creative activity table, and of course, enjoy the great food prepared by our Fire Department.

The monies generated from the sale go the Firemen Relief Fund which assists local residents and surrounding communities with electric bills, prescriptions, financial problems, paying for eyeglasses and supports local charities. This fund, along with the 100 Club of Arizona, will also assist families after an accident or fire.

What a great way to spend a Saturday. Beautiful art work, good food, entertainment  while helping a wonderful cause.
