Come Join All the Fun and Activities

 

Whether you are a tennis player or a spectator at the Jason Morton Tennis Tournament, it is sure to be a great time.  Come join us March 5, 2015 through March 8, 2015. If you want to enter the tournament, the deadline in February 25, 2015.

 

If you've never tried a Pilates Class, now is the time. Exciting things are happening at the IronOaks Fitness and Racquet Center this month and next. Please take a moment to read about the activities being held at our Center.

Meet Jenny Browne                          

 

Jenny Browne was born and raised outside of Rochester, NY.  She has been a competitive swimmer since age six and had the privilege of swimming at Villanova University.  She became Big East Champion in the 100 fly and 800 free relay while leading the team, as captain, to a 1992 and 1993 Big East Team Championship.  

 

Tennis has been a large part of her life as well.  She was the Tennis Program Director for the town of Victor Summer Recreation program for four years in New York.  Within one year of graduating from college, she was tired of the Northeast winters and made her way to Phoenix to start her career in the sports club industry.  She has held positions as Assistant Athletic Director, Sports Events Coordinator, Tournament Promoter and Swim Team Operator.

 

At IronOaks Racquet Center, Jenny will hold the position of Racquet Activities Coordinator. She is excited to build great relationships with the members by planning and promoting events, clinics and assisting with tournament organization.  Please check the fitness center for her office hours.


New Pilates Class At IronOaks Fitness Center

We are offering a new pilates class on Tuesdays from 9:00 am to 10:00  am.  This class builds strength without bulk, improves flexibility and agility and helps to prevent injury.  The primary focus is on an awareness of the spine, proper breathing and core strength.  What a great way to take care of your health and well being.

IronOaks Yoga Classes 

Do you have tight hamstrings from walking or running? Is your Golf or tennis game suffering as a result of stiffness, pain or lack of flexibility? Do you need to work on balance?

     IronOaks Fitness Center offers several great options for Yoga classes. With several different levels, we will teach you basic yoga movements that will stretch and strengthen your muscles. Yoga improves your strength, flexibility and balance.

     Options include Beginner Yoga, Silver and Fit Yoga, Basic Yoga, and Intermediate Yoga. Our Silver and Fit Yoga class utilizes a chair to further assist in developing balance.

Aqua Fitness

 

This wonderful water workout includes cardio and resistance training to help increase your cardiovascular health and strength without impact to the joints.

 

Day: Fridays

Time: 9:00 am

Instructor: Pam Barker

All Fitness levels are welcome

Requirement: Must be comfortable being in 3-5 foot deep water.
