Web Site Tips

Lady on Computer Even if you are not a golfer, I bet you have seen the golf courses from the street.  There is a really neat thing on the web site.  Log on, and click on Golf at the top.  Now look to the left and click on Courses.  Now you have to make a choice. Click on the course you chose.  You will see a map of the course and a list of the holes.  Pick a hole and WOW look at the information available.   I tell you folks, this web site is fabulous.  FORE!!!

Committee Meetings

Master Planning

The regular monthly Master Planning Committee meeting was held on February 9, 2015, at 1:00 pm. The Master Planning Committee approved two items to present at the Board of Directors monthly meeting to be held on February 25, 2015.

Charlene Petragallo will present the first Comparable Communities Benchmarking Report prepared by her subcommittee and approved at the meeting. This report includes such items as relative index of property values, homeowner dues comparison, and amenity availability. This report will be used for Board information and publication at their discretion.

The second item contains the recommended deletions, changes, and additions to the Master Plan, and is covered in two documents. The Master Planning Committee recommends that the Board adopt these changes. The deletions include the elimination of nine items from the Master Plan and four changes in wording. The committee also will recommend dividing the Management and Governance section into separate sections, and adding additional goals to the Governance, Management, and Communications Sections. Mr. Gates will give a brief presentation to the Board.

A Message From Patrol

PEDESTRIANS TAKE HEED

Everyday there are more and more walkers on our streets. Patrol would like to emphasize that all walkers should be facing traffic and walk on the left side of the streets.  No more than two (2) abreast should be the rule. Wear bright clothes while walking in daylight hours, and some kind of reflective clothing when walking after dark. Carrying a flashlight is a good idea. If you are walking your dog, keep it on a short leash. Be aware of your surroundings, and above all, stay SAFE!

A Message From ALC

Don't Let The Weeds Win!

The best defense is a good offense. We have heard that many times where sports are concerned, but it also holds true for our out-of-control weed problem. Hand weeding is still the best defense when the number of weeds isn't overwhelming. Pulling them when they are young,  before they flower and seed, is the simplest way to prevent them from spreading. Please look around your property today and take care of any weeds you find. The ALC Department thanks you for helping keep our community beautiful.

Thank You For Your Help

flowers_thankyou6.jpg

THANKS FOR YOUR INPUT ON THE ANNUAL SURVEY!

There were 1,633 surveys completed, which is more than last year. Thanks for taking the time to provide your input.

The next step requires a few volunteers to read and analyze the survey results. Even though most of the surveys were completed on line, which is a tremendous help in getting the results of the "multiple choice" answers, there are over 3,100 comments to be read and manually analyzed. Yes, each one of your comments is read and then categorized for analysis! This is a laborious task that will take several weeks.

Just like last year, the Homeowner Feedback Committee and the Master Planning Committee will present the analysis when this process is completed, hopefully by the end April. Look in "Stay in the Loop" for the results.

Crack Sealing

Annual IronOaks Preventive Road Maintenance 2015

Crack Sealing

This will affect all of Ironwood and sections of Oakwood

We will be performing Crack Sealing on the roads in the units listed below.

Please note: this is crack sealing not crack filling. After this process is completed, the fill material will not always be level with the surface of the road. This process will not affect any home owner related activities or appointments. This process moves along quickly and the roads can be driven on immediately once the contractor leaves the vicinity of your home. The locations where this process is being performed will receive a seal coat & re-stripe during late May/June of 2015.

In Units 27 & 28: February 19th - February 26th all roads in these units will be sealed.

                                              outdoor-painting-easel.jpg

Art At The Lakes Show and Sale will be held Saturday, March 7, 2015, from 9:00 am to 2:00 pm at Cottonwood Lake on Brentwood Drive in Cottonwood. There will be over eighty artists displaying and selling their work. A raffle table with gift baskets, gift certificates, dinners out and many other items will be available.  You will also be able to enjoy the music of the Dry Heat Pickers, watch the young ones enjoy the creative activity table, and of course, enjoy the great food prepared by our Fire Department.

The monies generated from the sale go the Firemen Relief Fund which assists local residents and surrounding communities with electric bills, prescriptions, financial problems, paying for eyeglasses and supports local charities. This fund, along with the 100 Club of Arizona, will also assist families after an accident or fire.

What a great way to spend a Saturday. Beautiful art work, good food, entertainment  while helping a wonderful cause.
