February 16th & 17th 2013
UUC Octagon Arts Center
|
The theme of the Choral Festival this year is "Love." You can show your love by assisting the chorale in feeding our visiting chorale members on Saturday, February 16, 2013. We expect approximately 80 to 100 singers. We need your help for lunch time, 11:30 a.m.-1:00 p.m.; break time, 1:45 to 2:30 p.m.; and dinnertime, 4:30 to 7:00 p.m. Duties will include set-up, serving and clean-up. Please consider helping for all or part of the day.
It is exciting to have so many singers from all over the state come to UUC. We are honored to be the host chorale for the event and look forward to sharing our hospitality with them.

Join your fellow UUs to welcome new members. On Dec 2, 2012, at 10:30 a.m. A special celebration marks our newest members' entry into our covenant community. In addition to our formal introduction of new members in the Octagon, we also celebrate with cake during social hour afterward!
Our embrace and formal welcome of new members is a time-honored custom for Unitarian Universalists. The event provides an opportunity for all members to come together and for our newest members to join the congregation and start calling the Octagon home. For visitors and guests, the ceremony is a wonderful way to observe our covenant community. Please join us.

Rudolph Steiner: A Documentary Film
|
November 27th and 29th at 7:00 pm in the Octagon.
"The Challenge of Rudolf Steiner," will make you wonder why so little is known about this man who created Waldorf education, biodynamic farming, Anthroposophical extended medicine, care for developmentally challenged children and adults, new ideas in economics, a new art of movement known as eurythmy, and work in botany based on the ideas of J.W.V. Goethe. The film features people engaged in this work who seem themselves to be filled with light.
