Greetings!

Welcome back from your summer (or winter, for the southern hemisphere clubs) break. I hope you are well rested and ready for another great club year.

This autumn, members of the Board will represent The FAWCO Foundation at the Regional Meetings and the FAUSA Getaway. We will be talking about our work and letting everyone know how The Foundation serves FAWCO Clubs and Members.

Please look out for the announcement of our 2016 Development Grant and Education Award. Details and application forms for the EAs and DGs will be posted on our website,  www.fawcofoundation.org, next week.

In September, we made this year's donation to NEEED. Thanks to very generous Club and individual donors, we were able to fund three  scholarships for nursing or midwifery and one university scholarship for the study of medicine, business or education.

The Foundation is YOUR Foundation. Please contact anyone on the Board if you have ideas, recommendations or questions. We would love to hear from you. Keep your success stories and your photos coming in to us as well! We want to share your fundraising ideas with everyone.

Best wishes,
Patti Meek
FAWCO Foundation President

In September The Foundation made this year's donation to NEEED for $20,186
This is for t
he cost of three-year scholarships (State nursing or midwifery) and one university scholarship.

            MATCHING DONATIONS FOR TARGET PROJECT

We are so proud of our member clubs' commitment to donate bras to help rescued women through the FAWCO Target Project. Free The Girls helps survivors become economically empowered. Now we need your help to get those donated bras to the women who need them most.

Did you know that it costs $20 to ship a carton of 200 bras from the organization's central collection point in Indiana to one of the three countries with active programs? We are pleased to announce a Matching Grant Challenge for the final fundraising push for the Free The Girls Target program.

From now until December 31, 2015, The FAWCO Foundation will match individual donations dollar for dollar up to a total amount of $3,000.

2016 Development Grants and Education Awards
