I've had this conversation with my daughter so often that when I am daunted she cheers me on.   
Isn't it wonderful when roles reverse and our children encourage each other and us?   
Striving is at the heart of life, of growth.  Nothing is impossible.   Set goals just beyond what you think you can achieve and go for them with gusto.  Provide scaffolding for those around you and accept help from them in turn.  And learn as much from your children as you teach them.

Never stop trying.
