Sharing life with a toddler, time becomes an elastic thing:  ever still and ever moving.  Every parent warns how quickly the early childhood years pass.   Yet during this stage "every day is as a thousand years."*

Quartet is an attempt to temporarily fix time, to still and distill a magical, ephemeral, and ultimately ineffable "time" between year one and year two.

Please indulge my humble effort, in the paths of Dante, T. S. Eliot, Bach, and Beethoven, to approach the still point through counterpoint.
