Hispanics Spend More
In the latest findings of the June 2013 American Marketscape Datastream Report, the average Hispanic household is projected to spend more in their lifetimes than non-Hispanic White households by more than $400,000.
The reason is due to the relative youth and larger than average household size of the Hispanic market as compared to non-Hispanic Whites. The aggregate Hispanic consumer spending for 2012 was more than $560 billion with shelter and insurance, as well as transportation and insurance making up the largest spending categories. Included in these spending categories are products like mortgages, home equity lines, new and used auto loans and home and auto insurance.
