Special Offering for the Greater New Jersey Conference
Many annual conferences in the northeastern jurisdiction of the United Methodist Church suffered damage after a massive superstorm named Sandy struck the region October 29. In a recent meeting, the NEJ college of bishops recognized that the Greater New Jersey Conference was the hardest hit. "For this reason, the NEJ College of Bishops are initiating a special offering for the New Jersey Annual Conference," said Bishop Sandra Steiner Ball, in a letter asking churches to take up a special offering on December 9 or 16 designated for New Jersey Hurricane Relief. Please make checks payable to the Conference Treasurer. Church remittance forms should be designated to fund number 800 and mailed to the Conference Treasurer's office, P.O. Box 2469, Charleston, WV, 25329 no later than December 31, 2012.
