TIPS & TOOLS:  What's your writing style?

Novelists, poets and satirists are distinguished by their consistent styles. A copywriter, however, must change his/her style to suit a project. Copy for websites, email, blogs, social media posts - really, any copy - must reflect the tone and style best suited to that project and it's intended audience.

The way you write (style) will determine how it comes across to your readers (tone). Your style should be consistent and resonate with your customers and prospects. What do they like? How are they motivated? Should you be serious, lighthearted, friendly? Are you direct, open and honest?

No, the style you use won't connect with all your prospects. Use what works best for the majority.
