Karl and Kathy Alexander combined their love for Baltimore and its neighborhoods with their desire to give back to the community through their own charitable giving plans. 

The direction for their charitable giving has emerged from both personal experience and scholarly research, and it has become a vital focus in their lives.  

20 Minute Update: Navigating BCF's Donor Network

BCF Announces $216,750 in Scholarship Awards

BCF has announced that it is awarding more than $216,750 total in college scholarships to 31 students from Baltimore area high schools attending college during the 2015-16 school year. The awards range from $1,000 to $80,000 per student. 

BCF also named Chikaodi Nwanegwo, a graduate of Baltimore Polytechnic High School, the winner of the BCF Scholarship for Young Civic Leaders. 
Funding Opportunity: Family Stability Initiative

The Family Stability Initiative, based at Highlandtown Elementary/Middle School #237 in Greater Highlandtown is aimed at preventing homelessness, stabilizing families in need and keeping students in their neighborhood school. Help BCF strengthen neighborhoods by giving to this initiative today.
